Built on Legacy. Driven by Purpose.
With a combined 40 years of experience in the sport, Jeremy Sandino and Jeremy Lopez are the driving force behind Yakima MMA. As coaches, fighter developers, and mentors, they are dedicated to building a gym that supports both serious fighters and everyday people looking to challenge themselves and grow.
Yakima MMA was originally founded by their close friend and mentor, Rich Guerin, whose vision helped establish the gym as a cornerstone of the Yakima fight community. After Rich’s passing, they committed themselves to continuing what he started and ensuring the gym would always remain a place where people could train, learn, and belong.
In 2024, Yakima MMA purchased their facility at 803 Summitview, securing a permanent home for the gym and the community it serves.
Their philosophy is simple: “You can train like a fighter without being one.” Whether someone walks through the door to compete, get in shape, or learn something new, Yakima MMA is built to welcome them.
“Bad things happen to good people everyday you have the choice to not be a victim and train”
